This is definitely not the typical boomerang you take straight from your phone. With the aid of the editing software to loop the action rather than having the talents to repeat the same action to give a more flawless look. Most of the shots were locked as we had to shoot 2 -3 separate plates to get the flawless boomerang effect of the protagonist while the background talents were moving in normal speed. We did some green screen and rotoscoping for some of the scenes depend on the complexity of the actions on the background or foreground.
I was so grateful to get the chance again to work with the same bunch of lovely people like Sam and Ken, meeting new people from the Hogarth creative team who are really a bunch of very nice and hardworking people. I also get to work with my ADM junior, Kelvin, as my Director of Photography (DOP) together for the first time whom I learnt so much from. It was a super long day of the shoot but overall, we (or at least I) had a lot of fun on set. See you guys for the next video posting soon!
